Getting to know you

It’s been a pretty entertaining few days at our place getting to know Poppy. She’s doing really well, totally unfazed by the plane trip and her new surroundings. She’s got a lot of personality for such a little cat (did I mention she’s unbelievably TINY?), she’s very playful, smart, social, and snuggly. When she’s not sleeping, she’s tearing around the apartment at full speed—and her sleep-to-play ratio is probably about 1.5:1.
Because what the internet really needs is more cat photos, here are a couple I managed to snap in the rare moments she’s still.

I am seriously considering getting a rex cat for my next feline. I love all cats, but it might be nice to get some that are hypoallergenic!
Thanks, Pauline! I’m allergic enough to cats that I can’t live with normal coated cats. My eyes will still get a bit itchy now and then but my allergies are much, much more manageable. Plus it’s easy to just wipe them down with a damp cloth every now and then to keep the dander down.
Anyway, it’s difficult to find a good Cornish Rex breeder but I’m very happy with the one we got Poppy from so let me know if you’d like a referral.
